Dr. Randi Fredricks, Ph.D. is a therapist, researcher and author with a Ph.D. in Psychology and a Doctorate in Naturopathy. Dr. Fredricks works as a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is also a certified clinical nutritionist, herbalist, hypnotherapist, and master NLP practitioner. She provides cognitive behavioral therapy and client-centered therapies for anxiety, depression, addiction, and eating disorders at San Jose Counseling and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Fredricks has experience counseling some of Silicon Valley’s top business executives with reducing work anxiety and stress and managing mental health with natural remedies. Her undergraduate degree was from Santa Clara University where she published a landmark study on communication, addiction and codependency. Dr. Fredricks’ counseling psychology master’s degree is from John F. Kennedy University and her Ph.D. in psychology is from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology where she published a highly recognized study on cognitive behavioral therapy, depression and alternative medicine.
Dr. Fredricks’ best-selling books include Healing & Wholeness: Complementary and Alternative Therapies for Mental Health, a 650-page compendium that provides a comprehensive overview of complementary and alternative treatments for mental health, with information and research on their effectiveness for treating specific psychiatric disorders. Her best-selling book, Fasting: An Exceptional Human Experience has been lauded as a landmark in the fields of alternative medicine. Her other books include Complementary and Alternative Treatments for Depression and Complementary and Alternative Treatments for Anxiety. She lives and maintains a private practice in San Jose, California.
